Sunday, The Day Of Rest (for your feet)
As much as any girl loves a pair of bum-lifting, leg-lengthening, sky-high heels, there comes a point when she just needs to kick off her stilettos and slip into a comfy, foot-friendly pair of sandals. Ahhhh the sweet relief! Considering most women spend the entire work week cramming their toes into corporate pumps and then strappy, dance-floor worthy heels, it’s no wonder why Andrea & Joen named their super sandal label, Sunday: the one day of the week when we women can give our footsies a rest!

Following the success of their main line, the sophisticated yet relaxed Sunday Andrea & Joen was launched in 2006 and reflects the easy-going, laid- back Aussie lifestyle. Perfect for tracing the footpath by the beach or hanging out with friends on long summer days and balmy evenings.

I love the eye-catching materials the girls use, such as hand braided weaves and metallic textures, plus the poppy prints and wearable designs. Don’t try and convince yourself that you already have enough shoes because living down under means you can never have too many pairs of sandals. In fact, I’m sure one look at Andrea’s and Joen’s own wardrobes would prove my point!

IN BLOOM

The trusty, handy, can-always-be-relied-on Bloom Pamper Pack - I love these little guys. They are the perfect gift for any girl that needs (or just wants) a bit of TLC and they have recently been re-launched in extremely cute packaging.

Choose from Bloom’s Everyday Care Pamper Packs for Hands, Total Care, Hair, Body and Face, each containing two sachets of 3 essential, botanical-ingredient products. I love the way you can throw one (or five) of these into your travel bag and know they you can indulge in a little pampering anywhere, anytime. However, they all smell and feel so fabulous that you may begin to resent the temporary nature of the convenient, pint-sized portions. For these moments you can breathe easy because the spoil-yourself-rotten creations are also available in full size for you to keep on your vanity at all times. 1, 2, 3 and you’re pretty as can be!

Available in Myer, David Jones & leading pharmacies in Westfield centres.

Be Different, Wear Something Else
No one wants to look the same as everyone else, which is why I love to wear Something Else. The latest collection from designer Natalie Wood is named, 'Sunrise of The Dancing Shadows' and pays homage to the eclectic, experimental musician, Sun Ra. Drawing on the outrageous and sometimes mystifying vibe of her sounds, the new Something Else collection is a cool mix of street chic and feminine sophistication. Yes, Wood’s clothes are eye-catching in their quirkiness, but also utterly wearable a perfect combination few designers can pull off. Something else that Something Else does each season is creates a garment for Extinction Sucks - an initiative of United Nations Wildlife Association. This season Natalie has collaborated with Sydney watercolor artist, Tara Marynowski, to create a tank, with all the revenue going to help protect endangered animals from extinction. So now you have the perfect, unselfish, excuse to spend your saved Christmas pennies on yourself!

More Moet for Me (and you if you’re good)
Bubbles. You can’t beat it for celebrating, romancing or, especially at this time of year, indulging, and when it comes to champagne it doesn’t get any more luxurious than Moet et Chandon. If, like me, your Christmas gift giving list features a whole lot of question marks next to your friends’ and family’s names, I’m here to tell you to stress less, take a breather (you may need a paper bag) and prepare to be…prepared because Moet has you covered for Christmas this year.

Choose from the designer festive Ice Bucket or the elegant Imperial Chill box, which transforms itself into an isotherm bucket and keeps your morish Moet at ideal drinking temperature for up to two hours (let’s face it, it won’t last that long). But, my personal favourite, the Swarovski - encrusted Moët Impérial Fabulous Gold Coffret should be top on your list of presents to give to the girl that has everything.

Chanel Précision The Luxurious Decision

2009, is the 10-year anniversary of Chanel’s Précision skincare range, which has always drawn on the scientific expertise of both dermatology (tick) and cosmetology (big tick!). The skincare line continues to grow in popularity every year, as its skincare solutions target three key areas: scientific research, listening to women’s needs, and of course, luxury - for absolute pleasure.

The four latest ranges to be added to the Précision line are Sublimage and Ultra Correction, which both focus on targeting wrinkles and loss of firmness in the skin, Hydramax for intense moisturisation and White Essentiel, aimed at Asian women in particular who want to even out their skin tone for a flawless look.

For a limited time you can purchase the Sumblimage Luxury Voyage Set for $460. Not only are the products great, I adore the packaging. In true Chanel style, it is understated and elegant to the point where I wonder if I might just leave the products in the original box and position it on my bathroom counter for decoration for the next few years. But alas, the great pull of feminine, decadent products is too overwhelming, to my skin’s delight.

If you’re still not convinced that you deserve to splurge on such beautiful skincare, then perhaps you need the wise words of Mademoiselle Chanel herself: “The more feminine a woman, the stronger she is”. That’s justification enough for me - just don’t show your partner the credit card bill!
