TARGETTING JOSH GOOT
Is this hot young Australian designer going to be sharing his talent with Target?

Today feels like the calm before the storm in the world of Australian fashion with the Rosemont Australian Fashion Week set to kick off on Monday (though PR gals around Australia are truly already in the midst of messy hurricanes, trying to work out the impossible such as how they are going to fit the 500 bottoms they invited into the 200 seats they have been given - should be interesting).

One of the stories that has everyone a talking? The ‘rumour’ that Josh Goot will be designing a range for Target. Many signs are pointing there, such as Target being the principal sponsor of his coming show and Sydney Morning Herald fashion guru Patty Huntington feeling strongly enough to post a blog about it on her ‘Fashion Season’ BUT  it must be said that neither Goot’s PR representative or Target would confirm or deny.

If Target has managed to sign up Goot for their 'Designers for Target' project it’s certainly a smart move on their behalf. Goot’s ranges have been extremely warmly welcomed internationally and we put him right up there when it comes to talent with Stella McCartney who created their most recent designer range (Alice McCall, Tina Kalivas and T.L. Wood have also participated in 'Designers for Target' campaign to date) . Stella's range as we witnessed, grabbed cover stories on newspapers nationally and sold-out within minutes in most locations.
