TARGETTING JOSH GOOT
Is this hot young Australian designer going to be sharing his talent with Target?

Today feels like the calm before the storm in the world of Australian fashion with the Rosemont Australian Fashion Week set to kick off on Monday (though PR gals around Australia are truly already in the midst of messy hurricanes, trying to work out the impossible such as how they are going to fit the 500 bottoms they invited into the 200 seats they have been given - should be interesting).

One of the stories that has everyone a talking? The ‘rumour’ that Josh Goot will be designing a range for Target. Many signs are pointing there, such as Target being the principal sponsor of his coming show and Sydney Morning Herald fashion guru Patty Huntington feeling strongly enough to post a blog about it on her ‘Fashion Season’ BUT  it must be said that neither Goot’s PR representative or Target would confirm or deny.

If Target has managed to sign up Goot for their 'Designers for Target' project it’s certainly a smart move on their behalf. Goot’s ranges have been extremely warmly welcomed internationally and we put him right up there when it comes to talent with Stella McCartney who created their most recent designer range (Alice McCall, Tina Kalivas and T.L. Wood have also participated in 'Designers for Target' campaign to date) . Stella's range as we witnessed, grabbed cover stories on newspapers nationally and sold-out within minutes in most locations.

STAR SIBLINGS
Brother-and-sister designer duo Camilla and Marc Freeman are in the hotlight.

It’s always good to see Australian designer’s names up in lights internationally. And you couldn’t get much brighter in the United States fashion industry than on the cover of ‘Women’s Wear Daily’, a much respected fashion trade publication, which brother-and-sister fashion act Camilla and Marc Freeman fronted this week.

Camilla and Marc’s cover story appeared in Tuesday’s edition of Women’s Wear Daily, known by the industry as “the bible of fashion”, about up and coming labels in the United States. Other designers have correlated their first appearing in ‘Women’s Wear Daily’ as the turning point in their rise to global fame, we hope it symbolizes the same for popular siblings Camilla & Marc. (That they appear in the US edition of Harper’s Bazaar and have signed with Net-a-porter will surely not hurt one little bit either!)

Yes, it certainly seems to be their year. Camilla & Marc have also been given opening act at the Rosemont Australian Fashion Week, which begins Monday 30th April. No doubt a ticket to the show will be even more in demand. We’ll keep you posted as to the styles that walk down the catwalk, all eyes will certainly be on them.

JENNIFER HAWKINS PROVES SHE IS LOVABLE
Last night an adorable Jennifer Hawkins took to the stage at Westfield Parramatta to help introduce Bras N Things Autumn/Winter 2007 range.

Jennifer was welcomed for a fun interview by an audience of 3,500 who had first been entertained by a Bras N Things lingerie and sleepwear parade, with a highlight collection from Lovable. The parade, featuring animal prints and greys, ended very much Victoria Secret style with a red winged model taking to the runway for the grand finale.

Always approachable and friendly, Jennifer discussed areas as broad as her favourite city (Paris for it’s romance and of course lingerie) and her preferred packing tips and style (kaftans for sunshine destinations and woolly jumpers for England plus travel size beauty products) and what she is currently doing to relax (dance). She also gave some great advice on underwear (she is vigilant about wearing Lovable’s active comfort bra for all exercise activities).

After the interview finished 100 fans were invited to stage for pictures and autographs, including a young female patient from Westmead Childrens Hospital, who was given a special leave pass to come to see Jennifer.

If you missed her last night you've got a second chance – Jennifer Hawkins will be appearing at Westfield Southland (VIC) tomorrow, Saturday April 14th at 1.30pm for a similar style Bras N Things parade and interview. Certainly worth travelling for!

PASH ME, PASH ME, PASH ME
Tonight Kate Ceberano will do the Cha Cha to her own classic song, Pash, on Seven’s Dancing With The Stars.

The vibrant Kate Ceberano is proving on Dancing With The Stars that she has been blessed with more than just brilliant vocals, she has the moves too. Tonight’s show is one not to miss - Kate will be doing the Cha Cha to her own classic song Pash. This combination of high energy dance to her most celebrated song is going to be a showstopper (Channel Seven at 7:30pm tonight).

We checked in with Kate about her fashion nous to the very minute (we figured everyone would be asking her dancing questions!). Turns out she's just treated herself to a pair of amazing Collette Dinnigan shoes saying “I’m obsessed by her range of shoes…if I could walk around nude and just wear her shoes I would…not sure if I’d want to inflict this on civilians though!” Mimco have also been helping her with accessories for Dancing With The Stars with Kate noting “I wear their brooches in my hair and fix them onto shoes etc., super sparkly and very Dancing With The Stars!"

The funds raised from Kate’s votes go to her elected charity National Breast Cancer Foundation – we love that we get to support both Kate and such a wonderful charity. To vote you simply SMS ‘Kate’ to 19 19 77 or call 1902 55 77 11.

AUSTRALIA'S TOP MODEL
Australian models are having an impact internationally.

For the last couple of years Perth girl Gemma Ward has been one of the only recognisable Australian names that would be first one out on the catwalk for Gucci. Now there are a bunch of new models who are making their mark.

One of those getting the most publicity is 23-year old Miranda Kerr who was recently signed to become face for lingerie giant Victoria's Secret in the United States. A big gig considering she'll be working alongside names like Giselle Bundchen. Miranda is also the only Australian to have every modelled in the Victoria Secret runway show.

Miranda who has been living in New York for the last three years was born in Gunnedah, New South Wales, and grew up in Brisbane, Queensland, is also the star of the current Portmans campaign. No holding her back please!
