An exciting announcment earlier in the year informed Australia that international fashion designer Zac Posen was to team with Target to launch a limited-edition, 20-piece collection for Autumn/Winter 2008 - the first time that this much loved-by-Hollywood designer has joined with a major retailer to create an exclusive range.
Now it's getting close to the release date, with the Zac Posen for Target collection hit selected Target stores nationally from April 3. So only eight sleeps to go!
Inspired by a Greco/Roman theme, Posen's Target collection includes fitted high-waisted pants and asymmetrical hemmed skirts with matching suit jackets, cocktail dresses with brocade trim, Grecian style tops and even a version of the Zac Posen dress worn by Katherine Heigel to the Emmys.
There is also a mini collection of accessories including two bags and one belt.Prices range from $49.99 for a belt to $299.99 for the 'Emmy' dress.
Target have really hit on a winning combination with their Designers for Target ranges, with these exciting launches beginning in 2006 with Alice McCall, Tina Kalivas and T.L. Wood, which were all massive hits, growing even more in 2007 with the hugely popular Stella McCartney, Josh Goot, Gail Sorronda and Yeojin Bae collections. And if past Designers for Target ranges are any indication Zac Posen for Target will no doubt a sell-out so make sure to put a reminder in your diary to head to Target on April 3.

Today was style guru duo Trinny & Susannah’s first live public appearance, held at the centre court at Westfield Kotara in Newcastle. One thing they didn’t do was disappoint, with the packed house going wild for the pair’s genuinely caring, while similarly saucy, show.
The girls started by opening up and showing their true selves to the audience. Firstly Trinny took off her heels (pointing out her legs aren’t as long as they look normally) and then her jacket (highlighting to the crowd that she isn’t all that busty). Susannah also removed clothing on stage – her underwear in fact while Trinny shielded her – taking off her knickers to then pull on a pair of the ‘Trinny & Susannah Magic Knickers’ to demonstrate how truly magical these actually are in holding everything in the right place. Talk about non-stop action!
Trinny & Susannah also invited eight audience members up on to stage and gave them advice on how to make the most of their particular figure types. No doubt everyone who went up on stage and who came along to see Trinny & Susannah left with a new sense of self, fashion direction and determination to make the most of the figure they have right now.
Radio personalities Merrick and Rosso had the attending audience exchanging amused glances prior to the Trinny & Susannah Westfield Australian Tour starting when they turned up dressed overdosed on bad 80’s style clothing. Rosso wore a dark navy blue ‘G’day Mate’ slogan knit jumper (which he later claimed to have bought from a garage sale held by fashion journalist Melissa Hoyer) paired with faded jeans and pink ugg boots while Merrick teamed sky blue baggy tracksuit pants with a brown leather jacket and workman boots. While Merrick and Rosso looked like they were certainly up to some mischief, they had in fact turned up to host the event.
After announcing and bringing a glamorous looking Trinny and Susannah up on to stage, Merrick and Rosso did a general fashion Q&A with them which included the radio boys explaining the ‘retro’ direction they had taken with their outfits. One particularly hilarious moment had Rosso pointing out that he was wearing maternity jeans, showing off the stretch waist band, and Trinny taking the lead, pointing out that they also assess male body types and looking down his pants!
Trinny and Susannah also lived up to their sassy stylist reputation by inviting members of the audience up on stage to assess their body shapes and evaluate if their style of dress flattered their figure type. The first on stage, Shelley, got “top marks for dressing really well for her shape” from Trinny but the most fun was when a lovely lady named Fiona was told that her “bra is a bit wrong but has very good legs” and then had the duo proceed to loosen her blouse collar and undo her hair to transform her into a “sexy, gorgeous woman.”
Just this taste of Trinny & Susannah’s magic ability to transform had the crowd hanging out for more and lining up to meet with them after the show had finished. No doubt all their appearances around Australia this week are going to be enjoyed immensely. What's What will keep you posted.
Trinny & Susannah have now arrived in Australia and are preparing for their long awaited tour of the nation. What's What are excited to be able to announce the winners for both the 'Last Minute' competition (which ran last week on the What's What website) and additionally publish the full list of winners names from the main in-centre competition.
Last Minute competition first...the winners of the five double passes to the cinema event at Westfield Parramatta on Thursday 6th March at 6:20pm are Zoe Andrikidis, Kirsten Oakley, Melanie Ryan, Sally Block and Ellen Dunn. E-mails outlining collection details for these tickets have been sent to each of the winners.
Secondly, for a full list of winners names from the main Trinny & Susannah competition for all states click here.
Now if you weren't successful in winning a ticket, don't let that stop you from seeing Trinny & Susannah live. There are still open to the public shows, which are being held at centre stage at the following Westfield locations. Look forward to seeing you there!
