It's been a long wait, four years in fact since the hit television series Sex and the City wrapped up, but finally Sex and the City the movie has been launched.
Always liking to keep it controversial, the film’s global premiere was held in London, not New York where the series and film are based. The New York launch will be held on May 27th, with the film then opening in Australia on June 5th.
Sarah-Jessica Parker (who plays Carrie Bradshaw) looked stunning in a divine Phillip Treacy headpiece which featured flowers, grass and a butterfly, along with a green tulle and feather dress by Alexander McQueen, while co-stars Kim Cattrall wore a bright red Vivienne Westwood dress, Cynthia Nixon was a beautifully cut floor length Calvin Klein gown and Kristin Davis wore a more modest vintage number which suits the character Charlotte, whom Davies plays in Sex and the City, perfectly.
