Westfield Doncaster The Passion For Fashion
Exciting $600 Million Retail Redevelopment Unveiled Today
Westfield Doncaster will no doubt ignite passion for fashion with it's amazing array of luxury stores

Today the Hon John Brumby, Premier of Victoria, along with Steven Lowy, Group Managing Director, Westfield Group and Erika Heynatz of Westfield Style Counsel fame,  are to open Victoria's latest luxury retail destination, Westfield Doncaster.

Westfield Doncaster is located 12km east of Melbourne's CBD and will now offer 109,000 square metres of retail space. The centre has more than doubled in size since the redevelopment began in January of last year, growing from 200 to now 400 stores.

It will also declare a series of shopping centre firsts, including Australia's first bulter service, Victoria's first permanent valet service, Victoria's first parking guidance system and gizmo - an IT support service.

Additionally there is a dedicated styling suite space with fashion stylists on hand to support the wonderful array of Australian and international retailers.

The completion of the centre will see the opening of a new David Jones, a refurbished Myer department store, a premium fashion district including designers sass & bide, Hugo Boss, Zimmermann, Gorman, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger, in addition to cosmetic boutiques at the level of Mecca Cosmetica, Kit Cosmetics and Aesop.

Environmentally concious, Westfield Doncaster has also been awarded a 4 star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia by implementing some unique iniatives including two 50,000 litre rainwater tanks for general cleaning and irrigation purposes, solar hot water panels fitten to 'The Drum', light fittings that have 'energy saver' globes and sophisticated management systems installed to monitor and minimise energy use.
